If HHB takes place 14 years later, then why do the children keep saying how much everything has changed in just one year ????

Greg.

Nah. It just means you're old enough for fairy tales again. :)

The children are 8,9,11, and 12 in LWW (a bit older in the movie).  HHB
takes place fourteen years later.  So Lucy would be about 22.

Re: [thelionscall] Chronicles Reading Order.

Well, I'd recommend going in published order on the first read through, if for no other reason than seeing how the lamp post came to be is a lot cooler than trying to figure out why it's there. However, on the second time through, it's fun to change it up and read chronological order.

That's my 20 cents.
Well I don't know.  I'm currently reading them in the "new order", is that Chronological??  I am going to read them first in the "new order" and then in the Published order and see what I think, then everyone can have my views!   Winky

The four children spend many years, probaby 20 or so, in Narnia, but when they left, only seconds had gone by.  When they comment in the next book about how much has changed in a year, they mean the year since they were last in Narnia.
I really am going to have to read all the books quite quickly to understand what you're all talking about!!!

Re: [thelionscall] Hi! I'm New :)

That's right ! which makes them just a year older in Prince Caspian than they were in LWW!
