If HHB takes place 14 years later, then why do the children keep saying how much everything has changed in just one year ????

Nah. It just means you're old enough for fairy tales again. :)

The children are 8,9,11, and 12 in LWW (a bit older in the movie).  HHB
takes place fourteen years later.  So Lucy would be about 22.
