Re: [thelionscall] Romance in Narnia
The star's daughter doesn't have a name, so don't worry: your memory
doesn't have a problem. :)
Interesting point, though. I think most of the time the children in
the stories are fairly young (save only for Eustace and Jill in LB
where they are 16...the oldest children to go to Narnia). Also, in a
lot of them the children are related.
Hey, don't forget Uncle Andrew and Jadis! ;P
Cheers and Huzzah.

brings up an interesting point about the Chronicles. Although Lewis
might have classified them in the genre of “romantic literature,”
there are few instances of romance in the series. We have Caspian and
the star-child (whose name escapes me at the moment), Rillian and the
Lady of the Green Kirtle (which didn’t end up very well), and of
course Shasta and Aravis (of which we only see the beginning of a
courtship). I realize that the books were meant for children who
might not be as interested in romance, but many of the faerie stories
that Lewis loved contained romantic plots and subplots. I wonder if
Lewis’s lack of romantic elements in the stories was due to the lack
of romance in his own life. Although there is a bit of romantic
“eros” love in </x-tad-bigger><x-tad-bigger>That Hideous
