Re: [thelionscall] Viruses!

The spammer's been dealt with. I've been fighting off a virus, but I don't
think it came through here.

Re: [thelionscall] Viruses!

Okay, thanks for the explanation.  Just goes to show that even on something like Yahoo groups you can't be too careful about making sure your virus software is up to date!  I hope that person has been banned from the group now, we don't want that sort of thing round here.

On a topical note, not long now till the DVD release, really looking forward to it, especially the extra features!

It is fairly easy to send an email from a Yahoo address without using Yahoo itself.  I have done it personally using a freeware email client.  You can't recieve emails without paying for it, but you can send them, bypassing yahoo's usually security methods.

It should still catch it before you download it, but oh well.

I'm glad it wasn't just me then.  There were 2 attached to each of the 3 spam emails.  It wasn't a problem, my virus checker kicked them out, I just thought Yahoo was supposed to stop such things being passed on to start with.
