Re: [thelionscall] Nice Walden Media gift

Some areas held meetings. We didn't. There were only
two of us working the St.Louis area, so meetings were
rather pointless.

Mainly, we had to accumulate a list of youth-related
organizations and businesses in our area and call them
to offer them promotional materials. Posters, buck
slips, bookmarks, etc. What made it aggravating is
that we were sent the materials and told first not to
distribute them, but rather to direct them to the
website and have them order their own. Then suddenly
we were told not to do that, but to distribute our own
materials as much as we could.

I found that churches were the most receptive with
LWW. It was mainly making calls at first, and then
driving around to deliver items later on. They wanted
a weekly E-mail describing what we had accomplished
each week, etc.

[thelionscall] Nice Walden Media gift

Walden Media had sent me a bunch of stuff for helping to promote the
movie. Some of it was nice stuff like a small Narnia brief case and a
Narnia shirt and hat. But a lot of it was just extra posters,
passports and promotional items they had left over. I decided to sell
some of the stuff on eBay. One of the items I had in my pile to sell
was a movie tie-in copy of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I was
about to put it up on eBay with an opening bid of 25 cents when I just
happened to look at the first page. I was very surprised to see it was
signed by Douglas Gresham. Needless to say, I'm not selling that one.
