Re: [thelionscall] Re: [narnia] Hi! I'm New :)
Not really, since Harry Potter and LOTR are written in chronological order. The Chronicles of Narnia are not. The original order is the order in which they were published, which is slightly different from the order in which they were written. They were later reorganized to be in the order in which they stories actually take place, which is different from either of the other two orders. This was based on a letter from Lewis to a little boy who got in an argument with his mother about which order to read the books in. The boy though he should read them chronologically and Lewis agreed that that was fine. The arguement is whether Lewis was just being friendly to the little boy, whether he cared at all, or whether he really wanted them read chronologically. The debate continues to this day.

Hi Dan,Thanks for that! Much appreciated :) Where do you get all this information from???? Did you get it from narniaweb?? I haven't actually read all of the books yet. Still only on the Horse and His Boy at the moment. Currently at the point where they are running away. I'm loving it!Why did they change the order?! Bit bizarre, thats like changing LOTR's or Harry Potter!! Very strange!!!Michelle
