Thanks for all your input on the BBC set on Narnia.
I have noticed that one of the themes in the Narnia books is
personal growth. In Lion, Witch and Wardrobe,Edmund matures through
his experience in Narnia and takes this change with him when he
returns to the "real world". I am partway through Voyage of the
Dawn Treader. Eustace, the cousin, is in need of personal growth
and I am anticipating he will grow through his experience there.
I have read a little of the "Outward Bound" experiences where
young people grow through facing challenges. -Tom
I am reading the very same book. What a coincidence! I was thinking that the other day as well. Edmund and Eustace are definitely going on the same kind of path and it's good to see that they are growing into I guess young adults and facing up to the responsibilities/challenges.
