Yes, I feel joy in reading the Narnia books as well. I suppose Lewis
achieved his purpose b/c really when Aslan is mentioned in the books,
don't you feel that warmth that the characters feel? I do.
But I often feel that I want to live in the world of all different
types of books (and movies as well and music is a different kind of
escape too). Tolkien's works but also non-"fantasy"--I used to
imagine myself in Edith Wharton's world.
Speaking of faeries, have you seen the movie Photographing Fairies?
